The Law Society of Northern Ireland is generously assisting the ECBA in organising her annual autumn conference and has offered their premises for the traditional Friday reception starting at 7pm. The conference on Saturday will take place at the Northern Ireland Assembly in the beautiful and historic Stormont Parliament building in the Long Gallery. Registration starts at 8:45am. Keynote address by Lord Kerr, Judge of UK Supreme Court In the morning the following topics will be discussed: 1.Northern Ireland, Human Rights and Brexit 2.Legal implications of Brexit for instruments of mutual recognition – EAW/EIO etc 3. Practical Implications of Brexit for EU lawyers After lunch you will find on the agenda the session ‘Defending political crimes’ followed by a short report on ECBA’s activities and projects. The conference will end at approximately 4.30pm.
