Context: this seminar is organized by the academic Network ECLAN (European Criminal Law Academic Network), created in 2004 and coordinated by the Institute of European Studies (ULB)
Objective: The aim of this internal seminar is to examine the contribution of the ECJ to the establishment of a European criminal area and to prepare an international conference on the topic “What contribution of national courts and of European Courts to the European penal area?”. This conference should take place during the second half of 2007 (possibly in Luxembourg).
Public and method: The public of the seminar of February will be primarily composed of researchers and academics (contact points and members of the network) and students who specialize in the sector. The objective is to introduce the subject by a few lectures and debates.
