The present general report has been prepared for the XIXth International Congress on Criminal Law that will be held in Rio de Janeiro on 31st August to 6th September 2014 within the AIDP (Association Internationale de Droit Pénal / International Association of Penal Law). The topic of this world congress is focused on the use and impact of ICT in the criminal law and the criminal justice systems, with the aim of understanding and facing the challenges the information society represents for the criminal justice systems.
