Restorative justice and the status of victims in criminal proceedings: The past and future of victims’ rights
This study explores two major issues posed by victims' rights in contemporary criminal justice systems: the types of rules that should be adopted to strengthen the role of victims of crime in the emergent European criminal justice, and the appropriate role of restorative justice practices in the judicial landscape. This current discourse is examined in the context of a comparative study of developing international standards of "due process", and procedural law in Poland.
