The EU's current confidence crisis raises the question of where the boundary of explicit contractual objective of "ever closer union" is drawn. Based on a list of the Constitutional Court of non-communicable state competencies discuss the contributions to this volume the constitutional boundaries of European integration from different national perspectives.
