Council Resolution of 26 February 2010 on a Model Agreement for setting up a Joint Investigation Team

The competent authorities of the Member States that wish to set up a Joint Investigation Team in accordance with the terms of the Framework Decision and the 2000 MLA Convention with competent authorities from other Member States are encouraged to use, where appropriate, the model agreement set out in the Annex to the Resolution in order to agree upon the modalities for the joint investigation team.

This model agreement replaces the one in the 2003 Council Recommendation on a model agreement for setting up a joint investigation team.
