Yusuf, Barakaat and others (CFI)
M. Yusuf and others were designated by the Sanctions Committee of the UN as being associated with Usama bin Laden. The Council implemented that blacklist with Council Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 imposing certain specific restrictive measures directed against certain persons and entities associated with Usama bin Laden.
They brought an action for annulment of the Regulation but the CFI dismissed the action.
An appeal has been brought against the CFI Judgment - see Joined cases C-402/05 P and C-415/05 P (Kadi I).
