Special edition on privacy and surveillance (Open Democracy) - Criminal Justice Centre of Queen Mary University
The Criminal Justice Centre at Queen Mary University London has just edited a special edition on privacy and surveillance on the Open Democracy website. The first contribution by Valsamis Mitsilegas, one of ECLAN's coordinators, makes a case for the development of a global privacy regime. Such regime is necessary to adress the inherent inadequacy of national, territorial laws on privacy to adress phenomena of transnational and extraterritorial surveillance practices. Other contributions from Hielke Hijmans, Richard Ashcroft and Niovi Vavoula have already been published.
