Objective This fourth seminar in a series of five co-funded by the European Commission on issues related to detention will focus on alternatives to detention, as well as issues surrounding the proper use of Framework Decision 2008/947/JHA on probation and alternative sanctions. Key topics Best practice in relation to alternatives to detention Viable alternatives, including probationary measures and electronic monitoring The application and correct use of Framework Decisions 2008/947/JHA on probation and alternative sanctions Extra This seminar will include a prison visit. Participation Accommodation for a maximum of two nights (22-24 February 2017) up to €100 per night will be reimbursed by ERA upon receipt of the original receipts and invoices after the seminar. Please note that these rules do not apply to representatives of EU Institutions and Agencies and all residents of non-EU states, who should cover their own accommodation. Participants should come from eligible EU Member States (the UK and Denmark do not participate in the Justice Programme 2014-2020). Participants are asked to book their own travel, which will not be reimbursed, and accommodation.
