The European Penal Area after Lisbon: new EU competences, new instruments, new balance between needs to fight against crime and protection of fundamental rights
The Module aims to comply with students’ and practitioners’ growing demand of deeper and continuous learning about European action in criminal matters. The project is directed to investigate, with a multidisciplinary approach, on the balance between the development of the European action and policies related to criminal matters with citizens' expectations related to security and justice, as well with European standard of protection of fundamental rights.
